HARRISON, Ohio - The Franklin College women's golf team put the finishing touches on their 2021 spring season on Sunday, completing play at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships. The Grizzlies finished fifth overall at the event with a team score of 1,130 (371-374-379).
For the second straight year, Lebanon, Ind.-native Maci French is coming home as an all-conference selection following another top-10 finish at the event. The junior ended play in eighth-place overall with a 54-hole score of 258 (88-85-85), setting a new career-best three-round score. French becomes the first Grizzly to earn all-conference honors in back-to-back years since Paige Lundy, who was an all-conference honoree each year from 2013-16.
Senior Jaley Schlosser closed out her playing career with a 17th-place finish, carding a 272 (91-91-90). Sophomore Mara Wilson placed third overall on the FC roster with a 292 (94-100-98) and placed 28th for the event. Senior Mackenzie Black finished in 37th with a 316 (104-106-106) and junior Taylor Dixon tied for 38th with a 317 (109-98-110).
Rose-Hulman claimed their second straight conference title, winning by 86 shots over runner-up Hanover.
