ANDERSON, Ind. – The Franklin women's golf team wrapped up their regular season schedule on Friday and Saturday (Apr. 25-26), taking part in the Anderson Spring Invite at Grandview Golf Course.
The Grizzlies had four players finish in the top-10 overall, with Franklin carding a team score of 732 (360-372) to finish five shots out of the top spot in second place as a unit.
Freshman
Alex Goodwin topped the Franklin leaderboard and finished third overall with a 171 (81-90) to record the highest finish of her career and set a new career-low round with her day one score to earn a place on the all-tournament team. Senior
Sarah Cooper took second on the Grizzlies and earned a spot on the all-tournament team as well, shooting a 180 (92-88) to finish in fifth place overall.
Fellow senior
Jenna Imel just missed out on all-tournament team honors, taking sixth place with a 185 (93-92). Freshman
Hanna Beller claimed the first top-10 finish of her career, grabbing ninth place overall with a 199 (94-105). Freshman
Grace Risley tied for 11
th place with a 204 (102-102) to round out the Franklin top-five.
The Grizzlies turn their attention to the 2025 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships, which are set for May 2-4 at Kearney Kills Golf Links in Lexington, Ky.
