Franklin College

Athletic Communications

The Franklin College athletic communications office is directed by Ryan O'Leary with the help of assistant sports information director Justin Johnson and several student assistants and interns at Franklin. The sports information department is responsible for maintenance of FranklinGrizzlies.com, coordinating live broadcasts of home sporting events and managing outside media coverage of Grizzly teams, coaches and athletes.

Credential requests
Credentials are issued to members of the working press on assignment. Space is limited in the press boxes at Faught Stadium, McDowell Field and Behrens Field as well as inside the Spurlock Center. That space is prioritized for sports information/athletics communications and team film staff, live audio and video broadcast personnel, and print writers and photographers.

Interview requests
Media members who wish to interview a Franklin student-athlete, coach, or administrator should contact sports information director Ryan O'Leary to make arrangements. All interview requests must be submitted 24 hours in advance. It is the policy of the Franklin College sports information office that no student-athlete or coach be contacted directly by the media regarding an interview until a request is made through the FC sports information office. We reserve the right to decline further access to members of the media who contact student-athletes or coaches for interviews without the approval of the department.

Internet access
Wireless internet access is available inside the Spurlock Center, Faught Stadium, Behrens Field (softball) and John P. McDowell Field (baseball). A wired internet connection is also available in the press box at Faught Stadium (football, soccer, lacrosse). Please contact the sports information director in advance to ensure an internet connection will be available.
