CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) released its pre-season outdoor track and field rankings just ahead of the start of the outdoor campaign.
The Franklin women earned a fourth-place result in their poll with 57 total points while the men were slotted fifth overall by the league's 10 coaches with 52 total points.
Both teams had five athletes representing their respective teams on the league's list of Athletes to Watch. Representing the Griz women are senior
Jill Anspaugh, junior
Sarah O'Day, sophomore
Haley Makowski and freshmen
Alison Muck and
Aloria Kines.
Making the list for Franklin's men were senior
Nick Patton, juniors
Noah Sigler and
Eli Cochrane, sophomore
John Asplund and rookie
Logan McIntosh.
The Grizzlies begin their outdoor season next Saturday (Mar. 25) when they head to Hanover for the Hanover Invitational. Track season concludes on Apr. 28-29 when Grizzly Park plays host to the 2023 HCAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
