FRANKLIN, Ind. - The Franklin College men's tennis team met the Transylvania Pioneers on Wednesday (May 4) night at Grizzly Park with a spot in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) semifinals up for grabs. 

Franklin saw their season draw to a close, as the Pioneers (4-12) avenged a loss to the Griz earlier this year with an 8-1 victory. 

All three doubles matchups were tight-fought battles, with Franklin getting on the board at No. 3 doubles thanks to an 8-3 win from Nathan Jarboe and Matt Leming. But singles play saw the Pioneers roll to victory, taking three of the six singles matchups in three sets or in a tie-breaker. 

The Grizzlies end the season with a 9-8 record and their first season over .500 since 2014-15. The complete list of results can be found below.
