ANDERSON, Ind. - The Franklin men's tennis team brought their regular season to a close on Saturday (Apr. 30) afternoon, dropping an 8-1 matchup to the Anderson Ravens.
The Grizzlies end the regular season with a 9-7 record and a 2-3 mark in conference play. They will enter the post-season as the number four seed in next week's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Tournament.
Freshman Dustin Garrison grabbed the Grizzlies' lone point of the afternoon, rallying for a 4-6, 6-1, 10-8 win from the No. 2 doubles position. The Grizzlies pushed the Ravens to three sets in one singles match and to a tie-breaker in three others.
Franklin now turns their attention to the conference tournament this coming Wednesday (May 4) afternoon. The Grizzlies will host fifth-seeded Transylvania at Grizzly Park. Start time will be announced in the coming days.
