LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Franklin College men's tennis team was back on the road on Sunday (Apr. 18) for their final road competition of the regular season and a match with the Transylvania Pioneers.
The Grizzlies (3-5, 1-3 HCAC) were unable to make it wins on consecutive days as the Pioneers (3-4, 2-1 HCAC) claimed a 9-0 win. The Grizzlies' quintet of players fell in straight sets in singles play with the closest Franklin got to a point coming in a hard-fought 8-6 loss from Camden Jones and Ty McCory at the No. 1 doubles spot. Franklin is back in action on Saturday, May 1 with a home competition against the Anderson Ravens. First serve from Grizzly Park is set for 10: 00 a.m.
