RECAP | League-Leading Engineers Take Down Grizzlies on Wednesday Night

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Franklin men's tennis team headed indoors on Wednesday (Apr. 24) night, taking on HCAC powerhouse Rose-Hulman inside the confines of UIndy's Tennis Center.

The Grizzlies (7-9, 4-3 HCAC) became the 10th straight team to fall victim to the Engineers (11-9, 6-0 HCAC), as Rose headed back home with a 9-0 win.

The Engineers rolled to 8-0 wins in the top two doubles matches. Josh Stewart and Ty McCory were the final doubles team to finish, dropping an 8-3 decision at the No. 3 spot. A similar fate awaited the Grizzlies in singles play, as the league-powerhouse Engineers took all six matches in straight sets to extend their conference winning streak to 45.

Franklin closes out conference play on Saturday (Apr. 27) afternoon, hitting the road to face the Earlham Quakers. The first serve from Richmond, Ind. is set for 11:00 a.m.
