All season long, Franklin men's golf has been able to pride itself on fielding a lineup without any weak spots — and it flexed its collective strength once again on Sunday.

The Grizzlies turned in a third consecutive strong round to secure a second-place finish at the HCAC Championships in Richmond, Kentucky. The Grizzlies totaled an 18-over-par 306 in Sunday's final round and finished the tournament at 910 (+46), trailing only Transylvania and 12 shots better than third-place Anderson.

Freshman Jake Garrison led a balanced Griz lineup on the weekend with a 74-80-75—229 (+13), good for 10th place individually. Garrison carded three birdies over the first 10 holes on Sunday to put himself on solid footing.

Teammates Hunter Riggs (81-73-76) and Tyler Young (81-72-77) were one shot back of him in a tie for 11th at 230. Riggs matched Garrison on Sunday with a three-birdie round, while Young made the third-round turn at 1-under 35 after a bogey-free front nine.

Junior Nick Stewart (76-77-78—231) tied for 15th on the individual leaderboard and Angel Soria (78-73-81—232) landed in a tie for 17th.

With Soria the lone senior on the roster and three underclassmen in the top 11 this weekend, the Grizzlies should be well positioned to finish near or at the top of the conference again next year.
