This is getting to be a habit.
For the second straight week and the fourth time this year (including indoor season), Franklin freshman
Grace Tincher earned HCAC Jumps Athlete of the Week recognition after her best outdoor performance to date.
At the Indiana Little State Championships, Tincher dusted the field in the long jump with a school and conference record of 5.78 meters (18 feet, 11.5 inches). That mark ranks Tincher — who was a second team All-American in the event during indoor — seventh nationally in Division III.
For good measure, Tincher also finished sixth at the meet in the high jump, clearing 1.54 meters (5 feet, 0.75 inches).
Franklin will compete this weekend at the HCAC Outdoor Championships, which are being hosted by Transylvania.
