Going from indoor track to outdoor hasn't slowed
Grace Tincher down a bit.
The Franklin freshman, a second team All-American in the long jump during indoor season, picked up her first HCAC Jumps Athlete of the Week honor of the spring after winning her primary event at the Indiana Division III Championships over the weekend.
Tincher posted a winning leap of 5.64 meters, or 18 feet and 6 inches, to win the event by a comfortable margin of nearly nine inches.Â
A native of Palmyra, Indiana, Tincher also placed fifth in the 100-meter dash at the meet (12.76 seconds) and ran the leadoff leg on the Grizzlies' 4x100 relay.
Franklin will be back at it this weekend at the Indiana Little State Championships in Marion, Indiana.
