Franklin men's tennis pushed three singles matches to a third set but ultimately came up short across the board, suffering a 7-0 home loss to Anderson on Saturday.
The Grizzlies (5-9) lost the doubles point and were also defeated in straight sets at first, fifth and sixth singles, but they made sure the Ravens earned the last three points.
Marcus Cox rallied from a quick first-set loss to force a third-set tiebreak at No. 2 singles, though he wound up taking a 6-0, 4-6, 7-6 (3) loss. At third singles,
Jaden Wells came up on the wrong end of a 4-6, 7-5, 10-5 score, while
Brendan Hanner fell by a 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 count.
The team will be back in action Sunday afternoon (3 p.m.) at Rose-Hulman.
