Former Boston Red Sox great Dustin Pedroia coined the phrase, but it summed up Noah Loveall's weekend at the plate pretty nicely ...

Laser Show.

The Franklin freshman was nothing short of otherworldly at the plate during the baseball team's perfect 3-0 weekend, posting a 2.500 OPS and delivering some late-game heroics in the process.

Classmate Chase Wagner was equally strong on the mound, going the distance in a rout of Benedictine on Friday night. As a result the duo swept the HCAC's weekly awards, with Loveall being voted the league's Player of the Week and Wagner claiming Pitcher of the Week accolades.

Loveall, a product of Yorktown, Indiana, was 2 for 3 with two runs, a walk, a double and a solo home run against Benedictine on Friday and 2 for 2 with two runs, an RBI and two walks in a Saturday afternoon win over North Central. The Griz designated hitter then capped the weekend off by going 3 for 4 against Ripon, scoring twice, doubling and hitting a go-ahead three-run bomb in the seventh inning as Franklin stormed back from seven runs down for a 10-8 victory.

Zionsville, Indiana native Wagner turned in a complete-game effort to start the weekend, allowing just one earned run over seven innings. He scattered eight hits while striking out five without a walk in earning his first collegiate victory.

The Grizzlies are scheduled to return to action on Friday afternoon (March 6) with a home doubleheader against Carroll.
