FRANKLIN, Ind. — The Franklin College women's lacrosse team was designated as an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad for the 2024-25 season on Friday afternoon. The Grizzlies were one of 383 squads honored across all NCAA and NAIA divisions for maintaining a team grade-point average of 3.2 or higher.

In addition, a pair of Grizzlies earned individual accolades as well. Maddie Cary and Gabby Cunningham were among those named to the IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll — reserved for juinors, seniors and graduate students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. Both Cary and Cunningham were juniors this past season. A total of 1,286 players from 201 schools made the Division III list.

Cary and Cunningham had also previously earned spots on the HCAC's Academic All-Conference team in 2025 alongside teammates Abby Thornburg and Avery Tomlinson.
