ANDERSON, Ind. – The Franklin women's lacrosse team resumed conference play on Wednesday (Apr. 16) evening, facing off with the Anderson Ravens.
The Grizzlies (1-7, 0-3 HCLC) got goals from
Addie Whitman and
Avery Tomlinson, but couldn't overcome an early flurry from the Ravens (5-7, 2-1 HCLC) in a 13-2 Anderson win.
The Ravens netted the game's first 11 goals until Whitman broke the streak with 5:10 to go in the first half, potting her team-leading 21
st goal of the year. Tomlinson found the back of the net for the first time in her career with one second to go in the third quarter, capping the scoring for both teams on the night.
Whitman led the Grizzlies with seven shot attempts, four shots on goal, six ground balls and three caused turnovers. In goal,
Catherine Scott made six saves for the Grizzlies as Anderson finished with a 27-13 edge in shot attempts.
