Franklin College infielder
Josh Girvan put an impressive cap on a freshman season full of accolades Monday, as the NCAA confirmed him as the national leader in stolen bases per game across all of Division III for the 2025 season.
Girvan, a native of Zionsville, Indiana, swiped 47 bases in 53 attempts over 36 games played, an average of 1.31 per contest (that number would have also topped the Division I and Division II leaderboards). He also finished just one steal behind Joey Dwyer of SUNY Oneonta (48) on the national leaderboard for total thefts despite playing seven fewer games.
In addition to his exploits on the basepaths, Girvan also led the Grizzlies this past spring in batting average (.351), on-base percentage (.464) and doubles (13).
