Franklin College baseball followed up its on-field exploits this spring with some additional hardware.

Coach Lance Marshall's Grizzlies were among the collegiate programs honored by the American Baseball Coaches Assocation, earning the 2025-26 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award. To be eligible, teams had to post a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during this past academic year. 

This marks the eighth consecutive year that the baseball team has earned the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, which was first presented in 2016.
