CARMEL, Ind. - The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) announced its post-season women's tennis awards on Tuesday (Apr. 29) afternoon, and two members of the Franklin women's lacrosse team earned all-conference accolades for their efforts this season. 

Sophomore Ailyn Hendricks earned First Team All-HCAC honors for the second year in a row while freshman Sofie Ballesteros picked up Honorable Mention All-HCAC selection after a strong rookie season for the navy and gold. 

Hendricks handled duties at the top of both the singles and doubles lineups this year, going 8-12 from both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles positions. The Franklin-native spent doubles play teaming with three different players, spending the most time paired with Sydney Carson and the duo going 6-11 together. 

Ballesteros made an immediate impact in the Franklin lineup, going 6-12 in singles play while playing at least one match across all three spots at the top of the singles lineup. In doubles play, the Greenwood, Ind.-native carries a 7-9 overall record while splitting time with three partners and playing primarily at No. 2 doubles with Brenna Atchison, with the duo going 5-6 when teamed up. 

Franklin gets post-season play underway on Wednesday (Apr. 30) afternoon, when they head to Richmond, Ind. for a meeting with the Earlham Quakers. First serve is set for 4:30 p.m.
