EDINBURGH, Ind. - The Franklin men's golf team continued their spring campaign on Saturday and Sunday (Apr. 12-13), making the short drive to Timbergate Golf Course for the Spalding Preview at Timbergate.
The Grizzlies finished the weekend with an eighth-place finish, finishing with a team score of 625 (320-305) for the tournament.
Freshman
Jordan Huxford was the individual leader for the Grizzlies, shooting a five-over 149 (75-74) to finish in a tie for 15th overall. Sophomore
Nick Stewart finished in a tie for 37th overall with a 158 (82-76), as did freshman Zach Mosier after he went 80-78 for the weekend. Freshman
Caden Anderson tied for 40th with a 160 (83-77) and
Tyler Young tied for 49th with a 164 (85-79) to round out the Franklin top-five.Â
Freshman
Ben Brown earned a share of 35th place with a 157 (76-81) and senior
Mitch O'Mara placed 55th with a 189 (95-94). Both players competed as individuals in the tournament.Â
Up next for the Grizzlies is a trip to Richmond Elks Golf Course in Richmond, Ind. on Apr. 18-19 for the Earlham Spring Invitational.Â
