RICHMOND, Ky. - The Franklin men's golf team took part in their first tournament of the spring on Saturday and Sunday (Mar. 22-23), taking part in the Alice Lloyd Spring Invitational at Battlefield Golf Course.
The Grizzlies brought home a fifth-place finish, carding a team score of 609 (307-302) for the weekend. Leading the way for the Griz was freshman
Jordan Huxford, who put together a 36-hold score of 146 (71-75) to earn a share of 10th place overall.
Fellow freshman
Tyler Young placed second on the team and tied for 19th overall with a 152 (76-76) with sophomore
Nick Stewart one shot back and tying for 22nd with a 153 (79-74). Rounding out the Franklin lineup was freshman
Caden Anderson and his tie for 34th with a 159 (82-77), as well as Zach Mosier and his 36th place finish with a 160 (81-79).
Next up for the Grizzlies is a trip to nearby Timbergate Golf Course in Edinburgh, Ind. on Apr. 12-13 for the SLIAC Preview, hosted by Spalding University.
