Teeing it up against most of the conference last weekend, Jordan Huxford put himself on a pedestal.

The sophomore from Fishers, Indiana was named the HCAC Player of the Week after a sterling performance at the Stateline Shootout in Ohio.

Huxford sat atop the individual leaderboard after Saturday's opening round after carding a 1-under-par 71. He followed up with a 77 on Sunday to finish the tournament tied for eighth at 4 over par (148), the lone HCAC player in the top 10 of a field that featured seven league schools.

His efforts led the Grizzlies to a tie for fifth at the 16-team event.

Franklin will see many of those same teams when it wraps up the fall season at the HCAC Preview in Richmond, Kentucky October 18 and 19.
