More than 2,400 coaches across all sports and all levels of collegiate athletics have graduated from the NCAA Women Coaches Academy, including some of the biggest names in women's sports.

Franklin College softball assistant coach Amanda Prather gets to add her name to that distinguished list.

Prather will be in Indianapolis beginning Sunday for the three-day event (Nov. 16-18) as part of a class of 78 coaches that represent 18 different sports across NCAA Divisions I, II and III as well as the NAIA and NJCAA.

"I'm so excited and grateful to attend WCA Class #55!" Prather said. "I'm looking forward to having new experiences and opportunities to learn more from other female coaches."

The Grizzlies will also be represented by head softball coach and assistant athletic director Britt Harvey, who is part of an all-star academy panel that also includes the likes of Hall of Fame basketball coach Muffet McGraw, former Indiana Fever coach Lin Dunn and former Notre Dame softball coach Deanna Gumpf. The keynote speaker will be former Stanford women's basketball coach Tara VanDerveer, who is also being presented with the WeCOACH Lifetime Achievement Award.

Harvey is excited to be a part of the panel but perhaps even more excited for Prather to have the opportunity to attend.

"WeCOACH had a huge impact on my career in athletics," Harvey said, "and it's awesome to see a new generation ... have the same opportunity to learn through the organization."
