LEXINGTON, Ky. - Franklin drops semi-final matchup to Mount St. Joseph at the 2025 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Tournament on Saturday, losing the Lions 4-1 at John and Donna Hall Field.

The Grizzlies got down early in the first inning, with Mount scoring 4 runs to take an early 4-0 lead. Franklin had seven left on base throughout the game. FC would bring it within three in the fourth with McKenna Lucas doubling to left center, bringing in Molly Wallace. 

Kaylee Stewart, Eriana Wagner, Wallace, Lucas, and Hadley Fuhrman all led the team with one hit apiece. Lucas added an RBI to her game stats. 

Kamzi Gross (1-2) got the start, allowing four runs and three hits. Lauren Duncan would come in to replace Gross, giving up three hits in her stint. Kylie Kadel, would finish out the game, striking out one batter while giving up two hits.

Franklin Softball ends their season 23-13 and 10-8 in HCAC play.
