Box Score NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. – The Franklin College men's tennis team continued their post-season run on Saturday (May 4) afternoon, taking on top-seeded Rose-Hulman in the semifinals of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Tournament.
The Grizzlies took a lead into singles play, but the Engineers proved too strong in individual action with Rose winning the match, 5-2. Franklin finishes the year with a 9-13 record, with their season ending in the HCAC semis for the first time since 2018.
Dustin Garrison and
Ezra Schwier earned Franklin's first point of the day by taking an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles.
Marcus Cox and
Lucas Densford teamed up to win a thriller at No. 3 doubles by an 8-6 count.
Singles play saw the Engineers flip the script, as they won each of the 1-4 matches to seal the victory and earn their spot in the conference championship match. The entire results can be found below.
