CARMEL, Ind. - Franklin College junior
Molly Wallace collected the first weekly conference honor of her career on Monday (Apr. 8), earning Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Hitter of the Week honors.
The Fort Wayne, Ind.-native batted .714 (5-for-7) with one RBI, two doubles and three runs scored as Franklin stayed perfect in HCAC play with a sweep of Anderson on Saturday. Wallace went 3-for-3 in the opener with a double and two runs scored and she played a vital role in Franklin's game two comeback, going 2-for-4 with another double.
Wallace leads Franklin with a .422 average and nine doubles this year to go along with one home run, 14 RBI and 16 runs scored.
Franklin is back in action on Tuesday (Apr. 9) afternoon, hosting Hope College in a double header. First pitch from Behrens Field is set for 2:00 p.m.
