FRANKLIN - The Franklin College baseball team learned their destination for the regional round of the 2023 NCAA Baseball Tournament on Monday (May 15) afternoon. 

The 33-11 Grizzlies earned the #3 seed in the Birmingham, Ala. regional and will get the four-team, double elimination tournament started on Friday (May 19) afternoon with game time set for 2:30 p.m. eastern time. The Grizzlies' opening opponent is the region's #2 seed University of La Verne Leopards, who were one of 19 teams from around the country to earn an at-large bid. 

Making up the rest of the regional will be the host and top-seeded Birmingham Southern Panthers and the fourth-seeded Lewis & Clark College Pioneers. Games are slated for Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the winner of the regional advancing to the super regionals next weekend.
