INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Franklin men's track and field team took part in two different events on Friday (Mar. 31), with the bulk of the team in Indianapolis at the Marian University Knights Open and a group of distance runners in St. Louis for the WashU Distance Carnival.
At Knights Open
Senior
Nick Patton was the top finisher for the Griz on the track, as he earned a fifth-place finish in the 110 hurdles with a time of 16.61 seconds. Fellow senior
Zach Roberts was right on his heels en route to a sixth-place finish in the same event in 16.74 seconds and Roberts added an eighth-place finish in the 400 hurdles in 1:02.35.
Freshman
Logan McIntosh claimed 14
th in the 400m in 53.40 and turned in a 200m dash time of 24.75.
Maddix Flaugh had a time of 24.16 in the 200m and
Ezra Baker hit the finish line in 11.56 in the 100m dash.
In the throws, junior
Noah Sigler grabbed ninth in the hammer with a throw of 42.52m and 14
th in the shot put with a mark of 12.12m.
At WashU Distance Carninval
Junior
Jack Sells led the way for the group of Grizzlies taking part in the 5K race, placing 57
th with a time of 16:08.75. Sophomore
John Asplund wasn't far behind in 63
rd with a time of 16:13.03. Freshman
