RICHMOND, Ind. – The Franklin College men's golf team continued their fall campaign over the weekend, taking part in the Forest Hills Invitational, hosted by Earlham College.
The Grizzlies put five players total in the top-20 overall on their way to a fourth-place showing as a team with a 36-hole score of 634 (324-310).
Topping the Griz leaderboard was freshman
Jacob Paine, who put together a solid weekend and earned a share of third place with a 152 (77-75). Junior
Zach Ricketts took second on the team and tied for 15
th overall by carding a 159 (81-78). Freshman
Braxton Christie tied for 20
th, improving by nine shots from round one to two to record a 161 (85-76).
Rounding out Franklin's top-five were sophomore Tim Leonard in a tie for 29
th with a 165 (84-81) and junior
Zayne Spangler whose 166 (82-84) earned him 31
st overall.

Blake Hammond (81-80) and sophomore
Ryan Bostic (80-81) matched Christie on the leaderboard to tie for 20
th overall while playing as individuals. Senior
Carter Giggy tied for 29
th with a 165 (87-78) and junior
Wyatt Krider tied for 47
th with a 178 (92-86) to round out the list of FC individuals.
The Grizzlies are back on the course on Friday (Sept. 23) afternoon, traveling to Muncie, Ind. for the one-day Delaware CC Shootout at Delaware Country Club.
