Anderson, Ind. - The Franklin College baseball lost its Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference series opener at Anderson University 9-1 on Saturday afternoon. The two teams will attempt to play a doubleheader on Sunday, March 29, starting at noon.

After the Ravens plated a run in the first inning, Franklin tied the game on a single by senior Jameson Brock (Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville) in the top of the third inning. Senior Mitch Frey (Kokomo, Ind./Kokomo) scored on the base hit.

Anderson regained the lead behind a four-run third inning. The hosts plated two more runs in the fourth inning.

Juniors Chase Steinbrunner (Indianapolis, Ind./Roncalli) and Joe Ardizzone (Indianapolis, Ind./Roncalli) joined Frey and Brock in each recording one hit in the contest.
