Two Indoor Track and Field School Records Fall in Indy

2/7/2026 7:15:00 PM

INDIANAPOLIS — Franklin track and field brought a small group of athletes to the Indiana State Fairgrounds to compete in the Fairgrounds Invitational, where the Grizzlies competed against a field loaded with Division I and Division II schools.

Highlighted by a pair of school-record performances, the Griz held their own.

In the sprints, sophomore Brayden Wilkins got the meet started by placing seventh in the 60-meter dash. His time of 6.98 seconds breaks his previous record of 6.99, set last weekend. Freshman Grace Tincher rounded out the night by placing sixth in the long jump, leaping 5.56 meters (18 feet, 3 inches). That mark breaks her previous school record by two inches and strengthens her hold on the number two all-time spot in conference history. She currently sits 25th in Division III this season.

The full squad will be back in action on Feb. 14 at the DePauw Invitational.
