Not a bad way to start a collegiate career.
For the second time in a row, Franklin freshman
Emma Tranter is the HCAC Player of the Week in women's tennis after a perfect Saturday in the No. 2 singles position.
The Brownsburg, Indiana native rolled to a 6-0, 6-1 victory as the Grizzlies completed a 7-0 sweep at Wittenberg, and she also teamed with
Ailyn Hendricks for a 6-4 doubles win as well. Later in the day against Capital, Tranter labored for nearly 90 minutes before coming out on top, 6-2, 3-6, 10-6. The freshman improved to 4-1 in singles play during her young career.
Tranter and the Grizzlies are back on the road this weekend for matches against Illinois College and Olivet Nazarene.
