The future is looking bright for Franklin women's tennis — and the just-concluded season was a large reason for the optimism.

Three returning Grizzlies were named to the All-HCAC teams released Thursday afternoon. Junior Ailyn Hendricks and freshman Emma Tranter were chosen to the first team, while freshman Reagan Cox was honorable mention.

Hendricks, a native of Franklin, led the squad playing in the No. 1 singles spot all season. Taking on the best players that the conference had to offer, she finished the season with five wins — most notably a three-setter in a 4-3 victory over IU Kokomo that saw Hendricks fend off three match points to win the third-set tiebreak, 11-9.

Tranter, who hails from Brownsburg, Indiana, had an impressive debut season, posting an 11-10 overall record and winning HCAC Player of the Week honors three times. Ten of Tranter's victories came at No. 2 singles, with the other coming in the No. 1 position.

Additionally, Hendricks and Tranter teamed up for an 11-10 record in the Grizzlies' top doubles spot.

Cox put together a strong rookie campaign, earning nine victories in the third singles position and securing one HCAC Player of the Week nod. The Crawfordsville, Indiana native also posted a 9-6 doubles record with four different partners.

All three all-conference players are set to be part of a 2026-27 Franklin team that returns all six of the players who saw singles action in this week's conference tournament quarterfinal at Hanover.
