After a lengthy trip north this past weekend, the arrow is still pointing in that direction for Franklin women's tennis.

The Grizzlies took three of three matches in Michigan, defeating Adrian 5-2 on Saturday before rolling to Sunday victories over Albion (6-1) and Olivet (7-0).

Against Adrian, Franklin (4-1) swept the doubles action with wins by Ailyn Hendricks and Kenna Harbin at No. 1 and Eleanor Stillabower and Alleigh Leezer at No. 2. Leezer, Reagan Cox and Katie Sullivan added singles victories in the third through fifth positions.

Sunday began with a defeat of the Britons. Doubles was again a sweep, with wins from Hendricks and Harbin at No. 1, Stillabower and Leezer at 2 and the sister act of Emma and Olivia Sappenfield at 3. Harbin and Stillabower also earned wins in the top two singles spots, with the Grizzlies adding victories at 4 through 6 from Leezer, Sullivan and Emma Sappenfield.

The Grizzlies had little trouble in the weekend finale against Olivet, getting a clean sweep of the singles points from Harbin, Stillabower, Cox, Leezer, Olivia Sappenfield and Kelly McClure. In doubles, Franklin got wins from Harbin and Hendricks at No. 1, Sullivan and Cox at 2 and the Sappenfields at 3.

This week, Franklin will head back to Michigan for the ITA Central Regional, which begins Friday in Kalamazoo.
