Franklin women's cross country ventured south on Saturday for its second meet of the fall, competing in the Hanover Invitational. The Grizzlies placed fifth in the seven-team field, totaling 146 points.
Fiona Sodrel was the top finisher for Franklin, taking 19th in the field with a time of 21:54.43 over the 5.15-kilometer layout. She was followed by teammate
Wynn Wellington, who crossed the line 25th in 22:30.26.
Ariana Sheckler (33rd in 23:01.68),
Elliott Taylor (43rd in 24:00.10) and
Andrea Madrigal (46th in 24:18.20) rounded out the Grizzly scoring, with
Alora Coble (47th in 24:26.01) just outside that group of five.
The Grizzlies are off until racing in the Louisville Cross Country Classic on Oct. 4 at Tom Sawyer Park.
