LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Franklin women's cross country team traveled south to compete in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship. The Grizzlies placed 34th out of the 37-team pool.
Wynn Wellington crossed the line first for Franklin, finishing 123rd overall in a time of 24:54.1 over the 5.15-kilometer layout. Not too far behind was teammate
Fiona Sodrel, who crossed the line 170th in 25:50.8.
Ariana Sheckler (194
th in 26:20.9, a four-second PR),
Andrea Madrigal (234th in 28:22.2) and
Cailyn Baechle (236th in 28:31.0) rounded out the Grizzly scoring, with
Elliott Taylor (240th in 28:50.9) just outside that group of five.
The Grizzlies have wrapped up the 2025 cross country season and will now set their sights on indoor track and field, with the first meet on Jan. 17 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
