ANDERSON, Ind. – The Franklin men's track and field team faced off with all comers on Saturday (March 1) at the 2025 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships.
The Grizzlies finished the afternoon in fifth place overall, putting up 61 points to finish between Bluffton and Mount St. Joseph in the final standings.
The day saw a handful of podium finishes for the men's team. Freshman
Alex Shaevitz got it started with a second place finish, leaping 1.95m (6'4.75"), putting him second all-time indoor. In the 400m, sophomore
Steven Scott claimed silver (51.43) followed senior
Logan McIntosh snagging bronze (51.52). Finishing out the night, the men's 4x400m relay consisted of Scott, McIntosh, freshman
Nathan Vujaklija, and senior
Luke Paddock ran away with the race, taking first place (3:24.99), lowering their school record mark by 2.5 seconds.
