RECAP | Women's Track & Field Takes Part in Two Events Over Weekend

HANOVER, Ind. – The Franklin women's track and field team had a busy weekend of competition, taking part in the WashU Distance Carnival on Friday (Mar. 29) before heading to Hanover for the Panther Invitational on Saturday (Mar. 30).
 
The Grizzlies earned one event win and a whole host of top-five finishes at Hanover, earning 49 points and a fifth place finish as a team. The night before, Franklin had a pair of junior runners taking part in the Distance Carnival with Ella Bashor and Emily Rector representing the Grizzlies.

-Ella Bashor – 145th in 5K, 20:15.07
-Emily Rector – 179th in 5K, 22:02.31
 
Notable Finishes from Hanover
-Sarah O'Day – 1st in 100m, 12.57; 5th in long jump, 4.65m
-Alison Muck – 2nd in high jump, 1.53m; 3rd in 100 hurdles, 19.59
-Vicki Arney – 3rd in 400m, 1:11.78
-Brantley Wathen – 4th in 400m, 1:19.81; 9th in 100 hurdles, 19.59
-Haley Makowski – 5th in 1500m, 5:20.31
