FRANKLIN, Ind. - The Franklin men's basketball schedule has been announced by head coach
Chris Hamilton and fans will have 13 chances to see the two-time defending Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) tournament champions on their home floor for the 2022-23 season.
Franklin opens the year with three straight games away from home, traveling to Berea (Nov. 8), Otterbein (Nov. 11) and DePauw (Nov. 15) in what will be their only non-conference road games in the regular season. The Grizzlies host the home opener against Wilmington College on Nov. 17 which starts a three-game homestand. Other non-conference home games will see Franklin face Domincan University (Nov. 26), Centre (Nov. 29) and Spalding (Dec. 17). The Grizzlies will have one exhibition contest in the first month of the year, traveling to Indianapolis on Nov. 19 for a meeting with the IUPUI Jaguars.
Conference play tips off on Dec. 3 with Franklin heading to Defiance. One week later, the Grizzlies will host Manchester on Dec. 10 to wrap up the opening leg of league play.
The HCAC schedule resumes on Dec. 28 with the Grizzlies heading to Transylvania to open a three-game road trip. The rest of the league road schedule takes Franklin to Earlham (Dec. 31), Rose-Hulman (Jan. 4), Bluffton (Jen. 14), Manchester (Jan. 28), Anderson (Feb. 4), Hanover (Feb. 8) and Mt. St. Joseph (Feb. 14).
Other HCAC home games will see the Grizzlies host Anderson (Jan. 7), Hanover (Jan. 11), Mt. St. Joseph (Jan. 18), Defiance (Jan. 21), Earlham (Jan. 25), Transylvania (Feb. 1), Bluffton (Feb. 11) and Rose-Hulman (Feb. 17).
The 2023 HCAC Tournament is set to begin on Feb. 19 with the championship game on Feb. 25.
