TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Franklin College men's cross country team hit the course on Saturday (Sept. 17) morning, facing off against a massive field at the Indiana State University McNichols Invitational.
The Grizzlies finished 17
th overall, with competition coming from NCAA Divisions I, II and III.
For the second straight race, sophomore
John Asplund paced the Griz runners on his way to earning 84 points with a time of 26:53.9. Placing second on the team with a time of 27:54.4 was freshman
Samuel Wilson, who picked up 96 points with his finish.
Rounding out the scorers for the Grizzlies were sophomore
Elliott Gough (103
rd/28:14.2), freshman
Riley Devening (110
th/28:57.8) and junior
Jack Sells (29:09.7).
A whole host of Grizzlies also competed in the race with

Franklin is off for two weeks before heading to Kentucky on Oct. 1 for the Greater Louisville Classic, held at Tom Sawyer Park. Race time is set for 10:30 a.m.
