Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin College men's basketball team hosted the Anderson Ravens on Saturday (Feb. 5) afternoon as part of a league double-header inside the Spurlock Center.
Three Grizzlies (9-12, 5-10 HCAC) finished the afternoon in double figures, but Franklin was done in by a first half that saw the hosts shoot 30.4% (7-for-23) from the field in an 83-69 loss.
How it Happened
Both teams dug in on the defensive end in the early going, with the teams trading more stops than buckets. A three-point play from TJ Deere with 10:35 to go in the opening half cut Anderson's lead to 16-14, but Anderson would grab control of the game shortly after. The Ravens closed out the opening half with a 23-7 run, and held a 39-21 edge after 20 minutes of play.
The Grizzlies spent the rest of the afternoon trying to dig out of the halftime hole, and would get within 10 with three minutes to play. But the Ravens held the hosts at bay to close out the win.

-TJ Deere led the Grizzlies with 14 points, grabbing five boards on the afternoon. Joining Deere in double figures were freshman Mitch O'Mara and senior Matt Krause, who added 12 and 11 points, respectively.
-Franklin shot 38.6% (22-for-57) from the field overall and knocked down 22 free throws. Both teams had plenty of opportunities at the line, with 45 fouls called and 57 free throws attempted by the two teams.
