Box Score DANVILLE, Ky. – The Franklin College men's basketball team began a three-game swing through the Bluegrass State on Tuesday (Nov. 23) night, taking on the Centre Colonels in non-conference action.
Sophomore Ty Wright turned in his second straight career-best scoring game, pouring in a game-high 25 points while senior Matt Krause had 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Grizzlies (2-1) in a 75-64 win over the Colonels (2-4).
How it Happened
The largest lead for either side in the opening half was never larger than two possessions with the action played at a break-neck pace. Franklin shot 45.2% 14-for-31) from the field in the opening half, going 11-for-14 from inside the three-point line and held a 34-29 lead at the break.
The second half saw a virtuoso performance from Wright, as the Mooresville, Ind.-native poured in 18 points on 6-of-7 shooting over the final 20 minutes. Franklin never trailed over the final half of play, growing their lead to as many as 15 points late in the game. The Grizzlies got it done at both ends of the floor, shooting 58.3% (14-for-24) and knocking down six threes over the final half of play.
