RECAP | Grizzlies Control Singles Play in Regular Season Finale

FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin College women's tennis team wrapped up regular season play on Tuesday (Oct. 5) night with a matchup against Rose-Hulman under the lights at Grizzly Park.

The Grizzlies (3-6, 1-4 HCAC) got the better of the Engineers (2-4, 2-2 HCAC) in singles play, taking two-thirds of the one-on-one showdowns. However, the Grizzlies couldn't dig out of an early 3-0 hole, as the guests were able to hold on for a 5-4 victory.

Franklin's first win of the night came from senior Sydney Logsdon at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-3. Sophomore Maecee Terhune followed with a well-earned 7-6, 6-1 victory at the four-spot in the lineup while Claire Cherry took a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles. Rounding out the lineup was junior Kinley Harmon, whose 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles rounded out the scoring for Franklin.
