FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin women's tennis team made their spring debut on Saturday (Feb. 22) morning, taking on the Alma College Scots at Mickel-Hoover Tennis Complex.
Sophomore Emma Foley was the lone Grizzly (5-9) to collect a point, claiming a 6-3, 6-1 win from her perch at the No. 2 singles position. But the rest of the points went to the Scots (6-0), who took three hard-fought doubles matches and the other five singles competitions to earn an 8-1 win.
The women's tennis team returns to action on Mar. 15, when they meet conference rival Hanover in non-conference competition. First serve from Hanover is set for 12:00 p.m.
