Box Score 2 FRANKLIN, Ind. (March 4, 2017) – The Franklin College softball team remained undefeated following a Saturday afternoon doubleheader sweep of visiting Kalamazoo.
Franklin won the first game 5-1 and took the second, 7-0.
Olivia Paszek was the winning pitcher in Game 1. She is now 2-0 on the season.
Kayla Selzer was the winning pitcher in Game 2. She is also 2-0 on the year.
Besides those players, the Grizzlies received strong performances on the day from Taylor Johnson, Alexis Tarver and Megan Lalioff.
With the wins, the Grizzlies improve to 4-0 on the season. They have given up only two runs in their four games. They have registered two shutouts and have outscored their opponents a combined 37-2.
Franklin begins a four-day, eight-game slate in Kissimmee, Fla. on March 9. The trip begins with an 11 a.m. game March 9 against St. Joseph's (Maine), followed by a 1:15 game against WPI.
