Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. (Jan. 28, 2017) – With three players in double figures, the Franklin College men's basketball team rolled to an 81-73 win Saturday afternoon at Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Earlham College.
The victory was the Grizzlies' second straight and completed a two-game season sweep of the Quakers. It also provided Franklin (6-12 overall, 3-8 HCAC) another momentum boost heading into Monday night's makeup game at HCAC rival Bluffton.
Freshman guard Braxton Day led way against Earlham with a game-high 23 points. He was an efficient 10 of 16 from the field, including 2 of 5 from three-point range, and added three rebounds, two steals and an assist.
Senior guard Aaron Mann poured in 21 points for the Grizzlies and added eight rebounds, two assists and three steals. He was also 9 of 10 from the free throw line. Senior guard Robbie Prather contributed 18 points, including 12 on three-point baskets, and tallied three rebounds and two assists.
Junior center John Beineke had seven points, three assists and a game-high nine rebounds for the Grizzlies. Senior forward Brent McCory added five points and nine rebounds for Franklin.
For Earlham (5-14, 1-11 HCAC), Elijah Wilson-Thomas and Darrell Hutchison each scored a team-high 21 points. They were the only Quakers in double figures.
Franklin returns to action at 7 p.m. Monday inside Bluffton's Sommer Center.
