Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College women's tennis team increased its winning streak to three match with a 9-0 victory against Kentucky Wesleyan College on Sunday at the Mickel-Hoover Tennis Complex.
The Grizzlies (4-3) lost only one game in doubles action. Sophomores Karen Dringenburg and Rachel Rose teamed up for an 8-0 triumph at No. 1 doubles. Senior Emily Helvie and junior Megan Battles recorded an 8-1 victory on the No. 2 court.
In singles, Dringenburg earned a 6-1, 6-0 triumph on the No. 1 court. Rose did not lose a game in winning her singles match on the No. 2 court. Sophomore Alexa Schofner, freshman Ashley Sedler, and Battles each picked up straight-set singles victories to round out the winners on Sunday.
Franklin returns to action on Wednesday, September 28 at 5 p.m. when it travels to Mount St. Joseph University for a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match from Cincinnati, Ohio.
