In the second game, the Tigers scored two runs in the first inning and later took a 6-0 lead behind a four-run third inning. The lead grew to 8-0 in the fourth inning before the Grizzlies got their offense going.

In the fifth inning, junior Megan Lalioff (Fishers, Ind./Fishers) put Franklin on the scoreboard with a run-scoring single. A few batters later, junior Savannah Blevins (Wilkinson, Ind./Eastern Hancock) connected on a three-run home run to trim the deficit to 8-4.
