Men's Basketball Loses to Manchester

Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College men's basketball team lost an 88-63 contest to Manchester University in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action on Wednesday from the Spurlock Center.

Senior Matt Niehoff (Rushville, Ind./Rushville) led the Grizzlies with 15 points. He made four three-point field goal attempts in the game. Junior John Beineke (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) scored 14 points, while junior Robbie Prather (Franklin, Ind./Roncalli) added 10 points.

Niehoff converted a four-play play with six seconds left in the first half as the Grizzlies trailed 37-34 after the first 20 minutes. Manchester scored 51 second-half points to seal the victory.

Franklin returns to action on Saturday, January 9, at 3 p.m. when it travels to Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Live video and statistics of the game will be available.
