Franklin women's tennis got its spring break started a little bit early, venturing to Berea for a Thursday conference match on its way south.
The stop didn't take long, with the Grizzlies dropping just two games in a 7-0 rout of the Mountaineers.
Both doubles matches were quick 6-0 wins, with
Ailyn Hendricks and
Emma Tranter teaming in the first spot and
Eleanor Stillabower pairing with
Alleigh Leezer at No. 2.
Hendricks was a 6-2, 6-0 winner at first singles, and the Grizzlies (9-9, 2-2 HCAC) won each of the next three matches without dropping a game to clinch it. Tranter took the victory at second singles,
Reagan Cox cruised at No. 3 and Stillabower came out on top at No. 4. Franklin won the remaining matches by default.
Next up for the Griz women is a road match against Agnes Scott next Thursday (April 2) in Georgia.
