COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Franklin College women's swimming and diving team collected Scholar All-America Team honors from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), when the institution recently announced the 2024 fall semester recipients.
The Grizzlies were among 781 total teams from 459 institutions across all divisions to earn the annual team award, which is awarded bi-annually to teams that finished with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the spring semester. Franklin's women turned in a cumulative team grade point average of 3.39 and were one of five teams from around the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) to earn the honor along with Manchester, Rose-Hulman, Anderson and Transylvania. By earning the award, Franklin's women have made it 14 straight years earning the top team honor from the national association.
Founded in 1922, the CSCAA – the first organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
